The Observe Open Country G-02 Plus is a winter tire designed for light trucks and SUVs. It delivers improved performance in snow and ice as well as wet and dry conditions plus has an increase in tire life.


This tire also features exclusive Microbit Technology with ground walnut shells that dig into snow and ice combined with a tread design and special winter rubber compounds that offer improved winter traction.


The results are environmentally friendly winter tires that have significantly reduced noise and improved ride comfort compared to studded tires.

    Performance on Ice
    • New Lamella crystal water-absorbing tread compounding technology increases friction by removing water on ice surface
    • Special silica-based tread compounds keep tread flexible in low temperatures
    • T-Mode™ Technology allows larger, high-density, wave-style sipes to improve lateral traction
    • Microbit Technology embeds thousands of hard walnut shell microbits in the tread that improves traction and braking
    Performance on Snow
    • Silica-based tread compounds keep tread flexible in low temperatures
    • Saw-toothed block shape tread results in improved braking and acceleration on snow
    • Larger, deeper wave-style siping in tread blocks and on shoulders increases snow traction
    • V-Shaped unidirectional tread design improves grip and starting traction
    Wet and Dry Handling
    • Modern V-shaped unidirectional tread design helps assure stability
    • Wide-tread profile design contributes to better wet and dry traction
    • Square and round twin shoulder design increases the edge effect without compromising handling or steering response in wet or dry conditions
    • Two full-width steel belts help stabilize the tread for improved handling, traction and treadlife
    Ride Comfort
    • Unidirectional tread design has an optimized block arrangement that assures a smooth, quiet ride
    • A strong polyester casing provides structural strength while maintaining flexibility for a smooth ride
    • T-Mode™ Technology optimizes casing design for the perfect blend of ride comfort and driving stability
    • Computer-optimized tread groove and angle configuration reduces vibration
